Okay, I know this is the most common shot of horse's eye there can be. Buuuuut it's finnhorse's 100th celebration year and I figured that I should post something to celebrate. This is finnhorse gelding Aika-Kone and there is just something in this pic I'm very fond of... Besides the fact that he's sabino and has blue eyes. I think his name (translated Time-Machine) fits the theme too :D

What I'M wondering is that seemingly blue stripe going over his eye. O_o Is that even possible?

It's probably just the camera misexposing the light and it looks blue (and really isn't). I saw some headshots of him from my friend (I had to check that thing out :D ) and there it looks normal, so I guess it's just the camera.

Kajaalirajaus! :DD

Killing? No, no satisfaction.

What IS the normal? A white stripe?

haha :D I'm not putting up make-up this time... and probably won't even be in pics ;)

Well yeah, because it's the border of the head mark. He has something called a white face. * looks for few pics * [link] and [link] is the same gelding (Aika-Kone) as above. As you can see, he has huge white mark on his face. It's normal with sabino coloured horses (and others, but usually big white markings are sign of sabino) ^^.
:iconnekotsume:
I have never heard the term sabino before.

But he has some damn pretty eyes.

Well, I don't know if it's used with any other animals than horses. It means a gene that causes big white markings on horses face, legs and sometimes random spots (quite big ones) in their bellies. This horse is obvious sabino (big white markings) but horse with very little markings (like one sock and star in head) could still bring out foals looking like Aika-Kone. I love blue eyes (in finnish herasilmät) too, especially on horses and huskies.

Onko se suomeks sama? Sabino...
