Some updates

Journal Entry: Sat Apr 12, 2008, 2:49 PM
Been procrastinating like no tomorrow again. Blaergh. Related to photography, I bought myself new recharcable battery and 2x 2GB cards. I haven't took very many new photos since the last update, only one photoshoot with Romeo & Lux, but next weekend I'm going to mine & my sister's friends place, she has her own stable with TEN horses!
She promised I can stay there the weekend, taking photos, RIDING and designing her stables webpage (of course, my loyal sidekick will be ~tulenkantaja who will do the actual coding and such... I haven't done any decent web pages for few years :D ) and such. I'm overly excited about this.
For updates on dA, I reuploaded few pictures and hopefully tomorrow will actually get around doing some cleaning (read folders and putting stuff to them), but I did upload one new photo of Lux. I'm slowly transferring to my own watermark, so I will continue revisiting photos and some of them probably will pop to your watchlists if I consider the changes big enough.
Other things what have happened between updates... Well, my uncle died on the Easter week and was buried last Saturday. I of course had to take photos of the funeral, my father (like always) made a complete idiot of himself but in the end it was a good trip (dogwhisperer sis driving, me on the front seat and my parents on the back = listening to GOOD music [ The Offspring & The Poets of the Fall to name few] and singing loudly to it! So much fun) and after the coffin was put to ground, I felt that it was over.
He's gone and not coming back, he will be missed and memorized as a great horseman. I have lots of respect for him, especially when it comes to horses. I don't know will I put any photos up here, there might be few that I would like to publish here too. Time will tell.
Since we're talking about not-so-happy things, my freakin' internet cable broke (fathers fault, suprise!) :P Thanks to heavens for wlan, otherwise I would probably be using my mothers computer. Anyhow, when I ordered the battery, I put the cable on the same order.
I finally decided to order myself a new mp3-player (Creative Stone Plus 2GB) and second pair of headphones (Skullcandy Smokin' Buds) which I can use at work etc. I'm also sendin' the broken ones to the place I ordered them so I can get the new ones. I even procrastinated on that!
On a more happier note, I got Paint Tool Sai back after few weeks of living without it. I bought a licence to it, so no more trying to mess around with the trial etc. I'm totally loving it and probably will get around actually posting digital painting or something in the coming weeks.
I'm posting the papers to find a place on Espoo tomorrow... and starting to realize that in three months or so I'm moving out of my hometown, my childhood apartment to a new town where I know one person (and few others close, like ~Nekotsume ). I'm not freaking out and probably wont, because I hate this place and people here more than I love. Moving out is a happy change that I've been waiting almost a year now.

This is probably enough for now, hopefully the weather will get better (I'll move to Africa if the snowing will continue, I can't take this anymore :P ) and you have a nice weekend.

(If someone is interested of buying Zoom-Nikkor 28-80 mm f/3,3-5,6G which is as good as new [used twice, will come with the original Nikon warranty papers etc], NOTE OR E-MAIL ME. I have one for sale because I don't have any use for it anymore.)

FEATURED;
(aka people you should go love instead of looking at my crap)

*Fire-n-ash - my lesbian lover, great friend, assmouth, the owner of Siberia (if the mutant aliens or whatever they are attack) and great artist who got a well-deserved DD while ago.

- This it the first because she really needs to do more humans. She can, she does great work (like that ballerina on her gallery, go check it out!) yet posts waay too few.

- The piece that lead me to her gallery. I have a soft spot for horses with big markins (especially sabinos) and even though I don't like miniature horses at all, this is a beautiful piece of work and deserves all the love.

- her DD piece and you need to fullview to see why. Simply amazing piece, which needs more comments (and faves too).

And I'll never stop rooting for...

~suvinen - a wonderful friend, great photographer (much younger and better than me. Seriously, this girl ROCKS) and in all definetly add to your watchlist.

- This 'Mama' was just lovely horse and this is a awesome shot of her. One of my definite favourites.

- Also a great piece. The name (horsepower) tells it all, great capture and beautiful background.

- Taken with my camera and probably about million times better shot than I could've ever taken. She really has good eye for photos and using someone elses camera is no barrier to her.

PS. Special thanks to :icontulenkantaja: for css, the photo is stock from somewhere over the rainbow and brushes from ca-pris. Kudos to them and a BIG KILLER HUG to rixs. ILU hon, you rock. Especially with CSS.

Updates & tagg'd

Journal Entry: Mon Mar 3, 2008, 3:19 PM
Okay... First of all, I LOVE MY NEW LENSE. It rocks so much it's not even true. Pictures taken indoors look great, I can keep ISO around 400 / 800 and still have good photos. I really liked the pics I took of zaijo and her cavalier in their Senior's Dance. I'll be posting photos of them when I get around to it... I've been procrastinating like no tommorrow lately. Actually I found some _old_ photos (from 2006-2007) which haven't seen daylight since they were taken! So I posted some of them and post more later. When I stop procrastinating and actually start doing stuff... I have so much stuff to do and yet I'm not doing anything, just working. After work I come home, fire The Lovemachine (aka my computer) up and start emptying my watchlist (which is flooded 24/7, because at this moment I watch 385 deviants) and next thing I know, it's 10 pm and I go to bed and start sleeping. This fives days a week (fri and sat I stay up as late I feel, which is usually around 4-5 am if *Fire-n-ash [that assmouth!] isn't around keeping me awake 'till morning!)...
I wish I had more time to work on my drawings (as some [mostly ~Anna-t and ~tulenkantaja who have listen me whine daily!] know, I bought a tablet last Christmas as a present for myself and now I'm into digital drawing and colouring), because the weather hasn't been all that good for photography-wise and I haven't even been very interested of taking photos lately. I should take some of my sisters dogs again (and test out the new lense with them too!) but... bleh. Ah well.

I have a new ring on my lip, in the old hole. It is huge and the ball on it is even more huge. I'll change it when it's a little more healed, the hole was a little intergrow, so the guy had to do some re-piercing with the ring... ouchie. But it will heal and I'll put a new ring or stud in it, don't know yet. Horse shoe would be probably be the best option, because they have a ball with screw so if I take it off, I'll get it back by myself... unlike this ball. I wrestled THREE HOURS with it, no success. I went to the piercing guy next day to get it back on. He wasn't there but the other person who does piercings there put it back on and said that horseshoe might be a little practical. I'll keep that in mind when I visit Body CTRL and get a new piece of jewelry.
And this week I'm finally getting my motherfucking birthday-christmas-whatever present from ~Anna-t! Talk about procrastinating (my birthday was in October, you all know when Christmas was and now it's March) :roll:
Nothing much else is new, except that I finally bought that papery-stuff for the Akatsuki coat. Now I just need to translate the constructions to my Mother and we can get to work with it. And my oldest sister has pneumonia -__- I had to visit her twice last week and hopefully she didn't infect me with it. Busy times starting at work and I don't have time to be away on sick leave, especially when The Assmouth (one of my ''co-workers'', who deserves that name... invented by me and *Fire-n-ash ) has been at work TWO DAYS in the last THREE WEEKS. Interesting fact is that she's ''sick'' which means she can go to the other side of city, but can't come to work 15 minutes from her home. * dramatic sigh * And when she finally comes to work, she works slower than A SNAIL. I can't believe someone can work so slowly. Sometimes she might just sit/stand there and do nothing or stare what I'm doing. I mean, what the hell!? Get your ass up and work, bitch! Everyone else is working their asses off and she stands there looking like she had just lobotomy done. Arrrgh, drives me mad! :stab:
Coming up this week... Money, which means BUYING random stuff (EMP Online <3 btw ~tulenkantaja, you'll get your late birthday-christmas-whatever present when I get that order from EMP and send it to yah!) and akatsuki coat & kakuzu mask etc cosplay stuff and maybe few comissions AND renewing my subscription. It's addictive! Plus, when you have a 385-person watchlist, you seriously need a sub. And on friday or saturday, going to see Sweeney Todd with Turska and them some DRINKING. I've had enough of this not-drinking-for-months life and it's time to end it.
Okay... enough ranting (mostly because I need to shower before bed and it's already 11 pm and I should be sleeping now) and more tagging. I was tagged TWICE, by :iconahuvah: and :iconhinoneko: (go check them out, Ahuvah have some amazing horse arts and Hinoneko is great artist with hilarious comics and I love her way of drawing)... Soo, here it goes;

The 8-10 Random Facts
1.Post these rules
2. Each person tagged must post 8 random facts about themselves
3. Tags should write a journal / blog of these facts
4. At the end of the post 8 more persons are tagged and named
5. Go to their page and leave a comment telling them they're tagged Fuck that, if they see it they know who they are.

1. I'm moving out from home to another city by end of summer.
2. I have a MILD obsession with things featuring scythes, skulls and/or the grim reaper.
3. Only two people besides me know the original source of my old nickname Rediheli.
4. I read (and order) Cosmopolitan and LIKE IT.
5. I went to confirmation school to get money for my first camera.
6. I want to cut all connections to my father, including my last name.
7. I'm having hard time to come up with random facts.
8. When I'm working, I force myself to perfection but when I do personal projects, I'm extremely lazy and procrastinate all the time.
9. I wrote nine random facts because I was tagg'd to do 8 and 10, so I go by the golden middle way and write nine! :mwahaha:

And for the tagging part... I'll tag :iconfire-n-ash:, :iconnekotsume:, :icontulenkantaja:, :iconanna-t: and :iconsuvinen: :mwahaha: You know I will hunt you down and make you do this. Or you can just do this.

On a different note, THANK YOU ALL FOR OVER 2,000 PAGEVIEWS. I was really overwhelmed one morning when I started up The Lovemachine and saw it. So awesome, it feels like I just celebrated on my 1,000 pageviews but it has been a while and another thousand pageviews ago... Wow.
Related to that, I'd really appreciate if you comment before you fave. I don't usually plead for comments like this, but seriously it means a lot to me. I like more that people SAY nice things about my photos than just fave or add them to their collection. It seems really cold and uncaring, because I don't really get anything out of it and it makes me feel a little depressed.
Stupid thing to get depressed / sad about, but I post my photos so everyone can see them and give me feedback to get better.
You don't need to give mile long critique about how I could do better, even just few words of praise really lift up my spirits and make me want to post more photos etc. here.
I'm quite confident person in general, but photography is always been 'the soft spot' for me. ~tulenkantaja can tell you how much I whine after every photoshoot I have that I can't take good pics and I suck and should just disappear from the face of the world ;) So please, comment before you fave. It means a lot.

Last but not least...

FEATURED;

I'm on a lazy mood and seriously late from my night schedule, so only one feature this time;

~suvinen - a wonderful friend, great photographer (much younger and better than me. Seriously, this girl ROCKS) and in all definetly add to your watchlist.

- This 'Mama' was just lovely horse and this is a awesome shot of her. One of my definite favourites.

Finally updating and photo meme~

Journal Entry: Sat Feb 9, 2008, 4:09 PM
Okay, so I broke my new years eve promise a little. I have been procrastinating updates for weeks AGAIN and I feel horrible about it. But I did make it still inside this month, so be glad about that ;)

Nothing much has happened in this month, I've started working in a small post-press company where they do a lot of spiral binding. It's hard, I hate it most of the time but I do need the money and the experience. Well, to say something good about the place, my old classmate is working there too and in the next company (the building has a lot of small press companies all in the same industrial hall) are two other my old classmates.

Photography-wise it's been really quiet. The weather has been horrible (raining 24/7 and then comes the freezing weather and makes all the water ice and then you can't walk an inch without falling over) and now the winter suddenly came back again, there's snow on the ground and it's a lot below zero (in celcius degrees)... not really something that says "maybe I should go out and take few pictures".
Also, when I come home from work it's already dark... weekends I use mostly on sleeping, because first half of the month went to changing my sleeping rhythm. If you've read my earlier journals, you can see I've been doing for the last few months that I went to bed around 4 am and woke up at 2-3 pm. Well, that doesn't work when you need to get up at 6.30 am, be at the bus stop at 7.40 am and work eight hours.
Thank gods for energy drinks, they kept me awake most of the time even though I still did some ''jigging''. My mind was awake, but my eyes couldn't stay open and I couldn't concentrate on working. It was horrible. I've learned my (somewhat) learned my lesson and will go earlier to bed. Although even right now I should be sleeping, but I'm watching Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life... oh well, it will show up at work tommorrow but it's my cross to bear. I'll live, even if I do a little jigging at work.

What else is new? Well, nothing much. I'll probably buy a new lense next month, that 50 mm f/1,8 Nikkor I've been talking and drooling about for months. I also am starting to translate the sewing pattern from english to finnish so my mother can help me do the Akatsuki jacket. It's about time to start so all will be ready for use in the summer.
I also have few new dA friends, so I'll be featuring them aside my long-time (actually, we haven't known THAT long...) online-real life friend Anna-t. She is also a photographer, owns a shetland pony who has a great attitude and all in all, she is a great friend and probably to-be roommate too.

Also, if anyone wants to be featured just say so. I've been featured myself couple of times and I'd love to feature other people. (Do also tell me what the fuck was that spike on my 23rd and 24th :D )

FEATURED;
(aka people you should go love instead of looking at my crap)

:iconanna-t: - my lovely friend who doesn't get the attention she needs. Hopefully she will get her new lense soon and gets to do some serious photography with it.

I've loved this shot for years, I remember when she first time showed it to me and I liked it very much and I still do. She should put up more horse photos.

I still can't believe this is from Hellsinki. Hellsinki is like... uh, city. A real one. There shouldn't be places like that around :F

:iconeurofoxx: - You never know where you meet another finn. Yeah, she randomly started to talk finnish to me :D We change notes on finnish now, she is a great lady with amazing skills. Also a huge Gerard Butler -fan.

I really liked the movie Phantom of the Opera, I even went to see it on a movie theatre. This is a very nice piece, although it was the 'Red Death' piece that led me to her gallery. Go check that one out too ^^.

Just read the description. My thoughts exactly, that is all I can say.

:iconsatalex: - I've just started talking with her, when she asked help from her watchers with english. Well, I think I could use the exercise so I signed up. We didn't have time to talk a lot, but from the little I could tell she's a really nice person and I look forward talking more with her.

Just look at that sky. I could just stare it for hours.

Interesting piece. Makes you think what kind of emotion etc. I haven't commented on it, but I did think of the piece and what kind of thoughts it brought up. Go check it out and don't be like me - comment! ;)

Photomeme - Okay, I saw this somewhere. Basically just ask me to take a photo of any aspect of my life and I will and I'll update the photos here. I know you want to, so be brave and ask. I probably wont bite, if I'm not hungry. Right now, I'm not ;)

- for :iconeurofoxx: ^^. She asked a potrait of me and here it is, in all of my horrificness. Hopefully it doesn't kill you.

And for :iconnekotsume: the photo of my sisters cat raping my bra is coming, when I find the cable for my phone.

PS. Special thanks to :icontulenkantaja: for css, the photo is stock from somewhere over the rainbow and brushes from ca-pris. Kudos to them and a BIG KILLER HUG to rixs. ILU hon, you rock. Especially with CSS.

Happy new year ^^

Journal Entry: Mon Dec 31, 2007, 3:13 PM
Just in short, ID pic and new avatar for new year! HAPPY NEW YEAR TO MY WATCHERS, VISITORS AND EVERYONE ELSE!

I had a very interesting year full of new people, events and everything else. I wouldn't change a thing, good or bad. I wish you will have a great new year in front of you and I hope I can share it with you!

This is few minutes late, but we don't care things like that, don't we? Anyway, I'll go back to watching League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and making myself a salmiakkikossu smoothie. Rock on! \,,/

And what I forgot to say was A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL, my friends, watchers, people who have commented and/or faved my work. YOU MADE THIS YEAR SPECIAL TO ME. THANK YOU. :hug: :heart: :glomp:

FEATURED;
(aka people you should go love instead of looking at my crap)

:icontulenkantaja: - my DEAR, long-term friend who deserves A LOT MORE than she gets. She is much more better photographer than me! Some of her works;

- relax, take it eeeeaaaa-syyyyyy... we all know Mikas horrid song. But that photo rocks and the lion looks so adorable.

- Fluffy. I'm not a fan of fluff or fluffy things, but don't you just want to hug these to death? I DO. I haven't post a comment on that one, so go and comment before I do!

:iconellastasia: - she wants to make a painting out of Claras headshot! When I first saw her comment I was all WOOT D: and felt very flattered! She has some great art and I watch her, SO SHOULD YOU.

- so beautiful. And it has a skull. Anything with a skull is GOOD :D

- she does GREAT traditional works too. C'mon, so unfair. She can paint AND draw. I want her skillz D:

:iconradiantthunder: - second one to ask to paint Claras headshot. She does lovely art too and there is no way in hell I wouldn't watch her. Also very multitalented person, I want her skillz too!

- this is just beautiful. It potraits the arabian horse just as I think it - sandy colors, elegant and beautiful horse with that concave face.

- Details on the horse (especially on the maine and tail) just rock and the scenery is pure beauty. It has that magical feeling ^^.

Ookay, that is all for now. Go eat some ham/turkey/whatever and happy holidays to you all!

Jingle bombs, jingle bombs...

Journal Entry: Sun Dec 23, 2007, 8:14 PM
Achmed the Dead Terrorist & Jeff Dunham just rule <3 [link] go there for his Christmas songs! You can sing them with the family and it will make your christmas 12% more interesting! KALMS APPROVES \,,/

...Anygay, I'm not dead yet and I'm updating again. Four photos tonight! Yaaay! Just in time for christmas, so think that as my christmas present to you :D I will be updating more in the future, I promise and those photos of varpu are, uh, in-progress. I really need to start doing something to them or she'll come here and make me do something to them ;)

What else is new? Well, Mokomas bar gig last month ROCKED. It was so cool~ although I couldn't hear about half of the lyrics from the shouting crowd and so-goddamn-loud music. It was still good, although the two hour deafness wasn't that much fun. Next time; EAR PLUGS. I was even drunk this time... a little. I still could walk straight and understood what was happening. Turska and his little brother, well, they weren't as ''sober'' as I was :D It was fun and evening in all.

Lately I've been going to the movies a lot o_O First of all, me and Turska went to see Resident Evil: Extinction. It was good, very entertaining and brain-eating fun :D We both loved it.
More recently (= last week) we went to see The Golden Compass. I've read the books like million years ago and Turska probably hasn't even seen them. We still both liked it (okay, I liked it more but Turska just isn't to fantasy that much) and Katsku and her school friend were there too, sitting two rows down from us :D It was a nice coincidence, although totally random. Katsku had booked the ticket few days earlier and we bought them in the same day, because we were bored and wanted to see a movie.
The most recent movie I've seen was Hitman on monday. GODS I LOVED IT. And I totally want a red tie now :D It had some hilarious scenes (like when he jumps to the lower room, great advertisement there!) and Turska loved it as much I did. I can't wait to take her to the Halo movie when it comes out... and my dogwhisperer-sis too ;) She's the reason why I've played Halo. She has Xbox (been whining for 360 but jesus christ, who has money for that!?) and Halo, so I've tried it. Not my type of game, but Master Chief is hawt. I like uniforms and things like that, k? ;)

I also have a job training place now. I start on 2nd of January, wish me luck. I haven't even seen a cutter in... seven months and used one in a year or so :D Lets all pray that gods and luck are on my side and I don't end up cutting my fingers off or anything. It would be a bit difficult to take pictures if I didn't have a right index finger...

Speaking of taking pictures, I haven't taken any serious ones since summer D: I suck :( My camera is just laying on the expensive bag it has and rotting away. I should take few photos. Maybe tomorrow I could take few, just to show a little tour around my lovely-dovely room? Would you like that? To see the utter not-so-organized chaos I'm living in with all the new skull stuff I have? I have LOTS now. Speaking off skulls, I could use a tie with a skull in it. I wonder if Alchemy has one... * goes to EMP Online *
...
Sorry, got a little lost there. So much stuff I need to buy and so little money to use ;___; I have a new carpet (has skulls in it, same series as my bed sheets) and bathroom carpet (still in wraps, waiting the beautiful day I move out of home!) and something else I can't remember right now.

And not to make this too long, I'll jump to CHRISTMAS because everyone is talking about it anyway. So I got few presents early (the said carpets) and for myself I bought a tablet. Trust TB-4200, totally sweet and not even very expensive. I love it and maybe in the next... hmm, five years or so you MIGHT see me post something not-a-photo to sCraps (that is a good name for them, Nekotsume. All kudos to you) :P For my sister I bought sand scenes-thingie and poster saying "This area is protected by fire-breathing dragons" because she is such a dragon lady (in both means of that word)...
From my IRL friends I got bottle of salmiakkikossu (ironically from Turska, who I bought two bottles of salmari. We had a little kodak-moment when we realized that we both bought salmari to each other :rofl: ), something called chili-zalmiac shot (it doesn't even have any alcohol oO), Bad Alice -mug saying "What part of 'NO' you don't understand?", some candy (already ate it!), three long black candles (<3 I can't wait to get to burning them!) and two "holly berry" scented candles (a little afraid of burning these).
For my mother I bought a gift card to Suomalainen Kirjakauppa, so she can spent it on whatever she wants and I don't need to taunt her about it :P
So~, tell me what you got! I will tell the rest of what I got in my next journal.

I also have few new watchers, I LOVE YOU GUYS SO MUCH. ALL OF YOU. I feel so appreciated every time I get a new watcher or comment or fave. Because I'm such a emo attention whore, who will give out cookies to people who comment/fave/watch. You rock and keep me posting (and feeling bad about not posting ^^; )

I'm guessing that's about it... except for this;
